Here’s a tidbit: Data Center Knowledge says Yahoo’s still planning to build a major data center in Nebraska, despite considering layoffs in other parts of the company. The company’s applied for tax incentives from a program requiring a minimum investment of $100 million and creation of at least 50 jobs paying a minimum of $68,700 a year. The project would be in the Omaha suburb of La Vista, which is also hope to facilities of Hewlett-Packard and Paypal.
